Preschool and Children’s Ministry

Purpose

The Children's Ministry at Corona partners with parents to train up a child in the way he/she should go. We minister to children (birth to 6^th grade) and their parents by teaching basic Bible principles and being a living example of God's love for them.

Corona believes that our children are the next generation of leaders and our goal is to equip each child with life-changing truths that will carry them through life.

In order to provide a safe and secure environment, our policy requires all volunteers in this department –whether paid, volunteer, part- or full-time—to complete an application that includes a background check.

Infants to Kindergarten

Bible Foundations—Builds a strong foundation of faith and the development of spiritual formation in babies, 1s, 2s, and 3s–kindergartners.  Babies and 1s, 2s, and 3s–kindergarten learn through age-appropriate Bible stories, music and fun activities.

First through 6^th Grade

Bible Teaching for Kids—Offers 1^st – 6^th graders Biblical learning and fun activities to keep kids engaged.   Children learn to internalize Bible truths and apply them to life. Children have the opportunity to study the Bible chronologically and develop bible skills.

Infants to Kindergarten

Nursery and ETC (Extended Teaching Care) is a ministry provided for infants, preschoolers and Kindergartners during our worship services.  Children experience and explore Bible truths in a variety of ways by providing fun, Bible-learning experiences which lay foundations for their faith in Jesus Christ while emphasizing the same Biblical concepts as Bible Foundations.

First through 3rd Grade

Worship Kidstyle is offered as a companion to our 10:30 worship session for children 1^st – 3^rd grade.  Every Sunday elementary school-age children and adults praise and worship together in our sanctuary.  Children then have the opportunity to attend Worship Kidstyle after the children’s message is presented.   In Worship Kidstyle, bible stories come to life and bring the day’s Bible truth home in a way kids will understand through bible stories, small group application activities, arts and crafts, and games.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is from Lifeway. It is designed to teach your child at his/her level of understanding. Learning centers, Bible stories and other hands-on activities which focus on the lesson’s Bible aim are used each session.

World Wide Witness Is a children's ministry where children learn about missions.  Children learn about missionaries in the United States as well as those in foreign countries who are reaching others for Christ.

Children discover places and people who have not heard the gospel and those who go out and share the good news.  This ministry meets every week on Wednesday nights at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
